Peter Stevens
Peter is a Managing Director of Credit Suisse in the Credit Risk Management department. He is based in London and is Head of Corporate Credit Europe. He also has responsibility for workouts/debt recovery management for EMEA. He joined Credit Suisse in 2001. Prior to this he has worked at Credit Agricole Indosuez, London Branch where he was a Deputy Head of Credit and he started his career with Barclays bank, where he spent 17 years in a variety of roles.
Peter has been a member of the Insol Lenders Group since 1997, serving as Chairman from 2002-2004. The group was responsible for the publication, in October 2000, by Insol International, the worldwide trade association for insolvency practitioners, of 'the Statement of principles for a global approach to multi-creditor workouts' and in September 2006 of a guidance booklet on 'Credit Derivatives in Restructurings'. He is a regular lecturer on this specialist area at industry conferences.
He was elected a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in 2006
Peter Co chairs the Credit Suisse UK Family network, (which is where he first came into contact with Childnet as he wanted to arrange a talk for parents at the bank on Internet safety).
