award-winning suite of education resources designed to help educate
parents, teachers and young people about safe and positive use of the internet.
Currently there are 4 KIA resources for Parents and Carers, Secondary Schools, Primary Schools and Trainee Teachers and all four resources include content for young people. You can access all these here online for free, or order on CD-ROM.
Know IT All for Secondary Schools has been produced for teachers in secondary schools and includes a video introduction to the issues.
KIA for Secondary schools highlights how e-safety can be embedded in the curriculum and also contains a unique interactive guide linking directly to a range of leading e-safety resources which you can use in your school.
Know IT All for Primary Schools includes 6 tutorials for teachers on a range of E-safety issues including handling disclosures, protecting
yourself as a professional and making this a whole-school issue.
The resource comes with a special 3D SMART Adventure which can be shown in a Primary School assembly or classroom.
KIA for Primary Schools comes with its own lesson plan and specially adapted resources for those with Special Educational Needs.
Know IT All for trainee teachers is aimed at trainee teachers entering the teaching profession to help them understand the e-safety issues
for students.
The website includes a short video overview of e-safety topics, as well as details about a resource which teacher training institutions can order and activities for use on placement.
