The UK based Heath Education Authority has produced an excellent checklist aimed at children which gives eight ways of checking information on the Web. Quality Information Checklist - QUICK Because of the sheer volume of information available on the Internet children can become overwhelmed and need to learn new skills in how to assess the reliability and authenticity of published material on the web. Although the site is designed to help children evaluate sites with health information, the checklist can also apply to other types of sites.
