| Remote School Makes Global Links 22 June 1999 |
Last week Childnet Director, Nigel Williams travelled to the remote westernshores of Ireland to meet with 1999 Childnet Award Winner Inver National School, an outstanding example of how one school has developedmulti-lingual Internet projects. With their Childnet prize money the school has purchased a video dataprojector. None of the school children have Internet access at home, andthe projector allows them to share their work with their parents and thewhole community. Nigel writes "It is fantastic to see a small school likethis use the Net in such a creative way to break down the barriers of distance. The kid's jokes weren't bad either!"
