Ellie Proffitt

Senior Education Officer

Ellie joined the Childnet team in September 2015. After a couple of spells teaching abroad in Hungary and the Czech Republic, Ellie qualified as a primary school teacher from the Institute of Education, and taught KS2 in Hackney, London. With a previous background in arts management, Ellie has also worked for several London institutions including the V&A and the Imperial War Museum in their archives and libraries. She holds a degree in History of Art form the University of Bristol and a Diploma in Art Conservation from UAL.

Ellie is currently working on Childnet's new piece of research, Project deSHAME. She is particualrly interested in how the internet can affect relationships, and how we can increase reporting amongst young people.
