One main risk is that it is very easy to accidentally share your personal information online.

Make sure that your account is set to private and that you only accept people you know and trust, and have already met face-to-face offline, as friends or followers.

Make sure you have a strong password and don’t share it with anyone else.

Apps and sites should keep this information safe and secure which means they shouldn’t share it with anybody else.

Every account is different but there is usually a way you can deactivate or delete your account if you want to take a break or leave completely.
