The Childnet Film Competition: International 2024

Live outside of the UK? Enter the Childnet Film Competition: International to champion youth voice in your school

Calling all teachers and educators working with young people outside the UK!

Do you know any young people aged 7-18 who are passionate about film? Can they tell a good story, create animation or inspire positive change? Then we’d love to invite you to support the young people you work with to make a short film about online safety!

2024 theme: How would you make the internet a better place?

We’re looking for films made by young people that inspire their friends and others to create positive changes in online spaces! If they’ve got something original to say about creating a better and safer internet, then we’d love to know about it! Remember films should be both entertaining and educational.

Dates to remember!

  • The Childnet Film Competition: International launches, 18 October 2023
  • Last date for ALL film entries, 5pm on the 22 April 2024

A competition that champions youth voice from around the world!

We started the Childnet Film Competition: International in 2021, to provide a platform for young filmmakers aged 7-18 from all over the world to tell their story and to become part of important conversations around online safety.

We’ve had entries from Columbia, Moldova, Mexico, Kazakhstan, Thailand, Turkey, India, Ireland, Myanmar and the United Arab Emirates.

We’d love to see what the young people you work with have to say about online safety! So complete the entry form here to be in with the chance of winning.

“I believe our film competition gives young people the chance to have their say and increase online safety awareness in their own unique voice and style.”
