Storyboard category

Welcome to the Storyboard category of the Childnet Film Competition 2020!

The Storyboard category is an individual competition for young people aged 7-18 who want to celebrate what the internet offers.

The challenge is to create a positive film storyboard and script in response to the theme:

We want an internet where we're free to...

What does the internet allow you to do and are there any ways it could be even better?

We are looking for a creative, inspiring and positive storyboard with a script for a film which reflect this year’s theme. It could be about having the freedom to play an online game without hidden costs or being able to be yourself online. The possibilities are endless!

Entrants can use our template storyboard or create their own but must keep the entry to a maximum of 12 frames (or picture squares).

Make sure the ideas, drawings and words are clear. It is a good idea to have a look online for some examples of storyboards.

The deadline for completed storyboards is 5pm on Monday 22nd June 2020.

The storyboards and scripts that best reflect the positive theme will be shortlisted. The winner will receive some great prizes to help them with their storyboarding in the future and start the path to making great films.

When do we find out if we have won?

Winning finalists announced - Monday 29th June

Judges' verdicts announced - Friday 3rd July
