The Advanced Project, for pupils aged 14 - 19, is a course of 4 lessons that challenge pupils to create an e-safety resource for their chosen target audience. The project encourages pupils to reflect back and develop their own learning relating to internet safety, to consider where the gaps were and to put themselves in the shoes of other audiences.
As an educator you can choose the outcome of the project depending on the time available. Ideally students will have time to fully develop their e-safety ideas and to have the opportunity to present directly to their chosen audience.
Lesson 1: Developing a 21st Century Compass:
Enables pupils to explore their own moral standpoints in relation to new media.
Lesson 2: Who, what and how?
Pupils will identify an audience that they can offer their internet knowledge and expertise to.
Lesson 3 & 4: Plan, Prepare and present
Pupils will plan, prepare and present their ideas to help others get the best out of the Internet.
