Preventing and responding to cyberbullying: events for schools announced by Childnet

16 November 2015

Childnet events in Manchester and London during March will give schools practical strategies for preventing and responding to cyberbullying.

As new research launched today by the DfE during Anti-Bullying Week indicates that cyberbullying is on the rise, particularly for girls, it is more important than ever for schools to implement effective strategies to respond to this growing issue.

In March, Childnet will be holding two events for schools which will bring together teachers, young people, social media experts, Ofsted and other engaging speakers to share best practices and practical strategies for preventing and responding to cyberbullying.

These events, delivered as part of our work as the UK Safer Internet Centre and with funding from the Government Equalities Office, will see the launch of our new cyberbullying guidance for schools and multimedia teaching resources.

Join Childnet and industry experts and stakeholders for an inspiring, lively and interactive day where we launch our new government-funded Guidance for Schools on preventing and responding to cyberbullying.

Keynote speakers and panel discussions will include politicians, social media experts, Ofsted, teachers and young people. Breakout workshops will be interactive and challenging and guide you through practical strategies to implement in your own school environments.

These not to be missed events are suitable for Primary and Secondary Senior Leadership and Middle Leaders, and those responsible for PSHE.
