Fivium raise an amazing £12,000 in support of Childnet

9 April 2025

The team at Fivium have cycled, run and walked an amazing 4424 miles on a virtual route around France, in order to raise money for Childnet. The Fivium team have been following the Olympic flame on its journey to Paris and have raised an incredible £12,440 for Childnet.

How the donation will help Childnet

At Childnet our mission is to work with others to make the internet a great and safe place for all children and young people. We do this in a number of ways, including:

  • Creating free resources
  • Providing information and advice to thousands of children every year
  • Running our youth advisory boards
  • Creating timely advice for parents and carers
  • Supporting those working with young people with their online safety needs
  • Coordinating Safer Internet Day in the UK
  • Putting youth voice at the heart of everything we do

This generous donation will allow us to continue our vital work creating resources which are topical, engaging and free for all educators and young people in the UK.

Will Gardner OBE, CEO of Childnet says:

‘We are extremely grateful for the tremendous work all of the teams at Fivium have undertaken. Their generous donation will allow Childnet to continue making a real difference in the online lives of children and young people across the country, whilst also making sure that youth voice is never forgotten in discussions about the issues that impact them online.’

Matthew Fletcher, CEO of Fivium says:

“At Fivium, we believe that technology should be a force for good, and the service that Childnet provides aligns perfectly with our commitment to digital responsibility. As a tech company, we understand the limitless opportunities that the digital world offers, but also the risks. By supporting Childnet, we’re helping to create a safer online environment for young people, ensuring they have the knowledge and tools to navigate the digital landscape confidently and securely, because a safer internet is better for everyone, including our customers, our friends, and our families. I’m extremely proud of the team and our collective achievements across the year in raising a total of £12,440 for Childnet.”
