Film Competition Reminder

28 May 2013

Less than a month to get your fantatsic films to us!

This is just a reminder that the deadline for film being entered into the Childnet Film Competition is June 21st 5pm. This is the fourth year of the Film Competition and we are really looking forward to receiving your creative entries.

Themes for 2013:

Primary aged entrants: Will be challenged to create a 60 second film to tell us why ‘The internet is great, when you respect your mates’.

Secondary aged entrants: Will be asked to create a 2 minute film in response to the theme ‘How do you connect with respect?’

You can still register a group of young people for the challenge; please do so at [email protected]

All shortlisted finalists will then be invited to a private screening of their film in front of our judging panel at the BFI in Central London, where they will be awarded some fantastic cash prizes for their school/youth group!

Visit our Film Competition page for more information and to view the winners of our previous competitions.

Key dates for the competition are as follows:

  • Competition closes: Friday 21st June 2013 @5pm
  • Finalists notified: Monday 1st July 2013
  • Screening & finalist event at the BFI: Monday 15th July 2013

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Trend Micro and the Goldsmiths’ Company for their incredibly kind support and funding, without which the Film Competition would not be possible.

If you are interested in finding out more about this year’s film competition and awards event, or other youth engagement and education projects that Childnet run please do not hesitate to get in touch with me at: [email protected] .
