Positive Content Competition

Calling all online content creators, Childnet and the UK Safer Internet Centre needs you!

Whether you’re an industry professional creating online content for a living, or you’re an adult or young person creating content in your spare time, or you teach a class of keen technology users and designers, or you have a talented child of your own, you are exactly what we’re looking for!

The UK Safer Internet Centre is running a national Positive Content Competition as part of the European ‘Best Content for Kids’ contest organised by INSAFE. We’re looking for online content created for children, by either adults or children themselves.

Any form of online content can be submitted – including websites, blogs, games, apps, educational content and resources, videos and other multi-media content, but it must be designed for use by children or young people. The content can be either newly created for the competition itself or can be content that already exists and is worthy of highlighting.

There are 4 entry categories:

1) Non professional adults (who create online content but do not do so for a living),

2) Professional adults (who create online content for a living),

3) Individual children or teams of up to 3 young people,

4) School classes / youth groups.

The entry criteria, judging criteria, FAQs, online entry form, and entries so far can be found on the UKSIC Positive Content Competition homepage: http://www.saferinternet.org.uk/positive-content-competition/.

The competition is open until 1 November 2013 and the winner of each category will then be entered in to the European wide contest to compete against winning entries from every other participating country. Any questions? Email [email protected].

Good luck and we look forward to your submissions!
