SID14 shortlisted for the Nominet Internet Awards

The UK Safer Internet Centre has been shortlisted within the ‘Making the Internet a Safer Place’ category for this years Nominet Internet Awards.

These annual awards are open to any organisation or individual who is doing great work online, whether it benefits their business, the wider economy, local communities or the UK’s internet users in general.

The ‘Making the Internet a Safer Place’ award recognises those intiatives that aim to improve online trust, champion online safety and develop security and safety tools online. The category shortlist includes:

A panel of experts, including Eben Upton, the Founder of Raspberry Pi and Chi Onwurah, MP & Shadow Cyber Security Minister, will select the winners, who will be announced at an awards ceremony on Thursday 3rd July at the London Film Museum, hosted by technology journalist Kate Russell.
