Positive and inspiring use of the internet is at the heart of our Film Competition 2013. Childnet is inviting all schools and youth organisations in the UK to enter our challenge. Two separate projects are in place for primary and secondary aged children. This year the themes will revisit the key messages from Safer Internet Day 2013 "Connect with Respect".

Childnet are delighted to announce the winners of our Film Competition! On July 9th 2012 we invited 6 schools to join us at our Film Competition finalist event. This year we experienced more entries then ever before at an incredibly high standard! The themes leant themselves to some really creative films. The primary category theme was "The internet can make your life easier, let me show you!" and the secondary category theme was "I'm a technophobe get me out of here! Can you teach a technophobe the wonders of the internet?"

Will Gardner has joined the judging panel for Trend Micro ‘What’s Your Story?’ film contest for the second year running. The 2012 ‘What’s your Story?’ competition, invites schools, families, and individuals over seven years old in the UK, to create and submit a short video, song, story, poem or drawing to share their advice to other young people about ‘How to be Web Safe’.
