Childnet supports home office internet education awareness campaign

As a member of the Home Office Task Force on Child protection on the Internet, Childnet has contributed to a major Home Office education and awareness campaign promoting internet safety. The campaign includes high profile advertisements in the national press and a new dedicated website www.internetsafetyzone.com. The Sun newspaper carried a 4 page supplement which included Bill Gates referring to Childnet’s schools outreach campaign “Getting to Know IT All” and encouraging parents to do more to keep their children safe on the Internet.
