Celebrating creativity

Will Gardner, Childnet CEO, said: “The Childnet Film Competition 2022 online results event is just around the corner.

“Inspired by the record-breaking success of this year’s Safer Internet Day, young people in schools and youth groups across the UK have been busy making films and drawing up storyboards under the theme of All fun and games? Exploring respect and relationships online.

“We invite schools, youth groups, parents and carers to join us as we announce this year’s finalists and winners.

“We will celebrate the creative achievements of young people through the crucial lens of online safety and, of course, get to see some fantastic films. See you there!”

About the Childnet Film Competition

Schools and youth groups were invited to create a two minute film or storyboard in response to the 2022 competition theme: All fun and games? Exploring respect and relationships online. What can we all do to play our part?

The challenge, as always, was to create a film that promotes positive use of the internet which can help other young people stay safe online.

The Film Competition judges represent some of the most prestigious organisations in film and television. The Motion Picture Association, BAFTA, British Film Institute, Disney, BBC Own It and British Board of Film Classification are all represented.

Childnet Digital Champion Lauren also joined the panel this year to help select our 2022 winners.
