Film Competition 2021: International

Young people across the world entered the first ever Film Competition International category

Thank you to all the schools who have entered this year. We had entries from Moldova, Mexico, Kazakhstan, Turkey, India, Ireland, Myanmar and the United Arab Emirates.

The winners of the International Childnet Film Competition 2021 were…

7-11 age group

11-18 age group

Nazarbayev Intellectual School, Kokshetau, Kazakhstan

The winning filmmakers have won £500 for their school to spend on filming equipment so that they, and other young people, can enjoy the benefits of film making and continue to learn about online safety.

The challenge was to create a short film, no longer than two minutes, reflecting a positive message on this year’s theme:

Separating fact from fiction. Finding trustworthy information online

The judging process

The winners were decided by the staff at Childnet and the entries were judged on:

  1. Reflecting the theme
  2. Educational value
  3. Creativity
  4. Engagement
