Assistant Education Manager
Tom joined Childnet as part of the Education Team in September 2016 and is a qualified teacher with 8 years experience of teaching PSHE in secondary school.
Tom completed the citizenship PGCE from London Metropolitan University in 2008 and brings a wealth of experience of teaching about social issues and campaigning. He is passionate about promoting the positive use of the internet to make a difference to the world.
Before he started teaching Tom travelled extensively and continues to enjoy visiting new places and experiencing new cultures.
My top online safety tip for parents:
Be interested in what your children are doing online and share your expertise. Young people may know a lot about the devices and apps they use but you know a lot about life and the way people behave. Use your life experience to help them when they come to you for help.
